A reasonable meter deposit may be required in addition to the connection charges required by this subchapter. The meter deposit will be made by the customer with the city before the customer shall be entitled to service and shall be in an amount and under terms and conditions as shall be on file in the City Clerk's office. The deposit, less any unpaid charges, shall be refunded to the customer, his or her heirs or assigns, whenever the customer notifies the city legally to disconnect or terminate the service to the customer. No separate deposits shall be required for the sewer service.
