505.17  KEEPING SWINE; FOWL.
   (a)   No person shall keep at any one time, more than one animal of the hog kind, in any pen or enclosure, on any premises, lot or parcel of land in the City.  Before so keeping any such animal, the person owning or having control of the same shall obtain a written permit from the Board of Health to so keep such animal.  Such permit may, at any time, be revoked by the Board.  The Board may grant permission, subject to revocation for cause, to keep a greater number of swine in parts of the City remote from thickly settled districts, or in parts used for agricultural purposes.  No such animal shall be kept in any enclosure within 100 feet of any occupied dwelling house of the City.  (1954 Code §4-1)
   (b)   No person shall be allowed to keep at any one time more than six animals of the fowl kind, in any pen or enclosure, on any premises, lot or parcel of land in the City.  Before so keeping any such animals, the person owning or having control of the same shall obtain a written permit from the Board of Health to so keep such animals.  Such permit may, at any time be revoked by the Board.  The Board may grant permission, subject to revocation for cause, to keep a greater number of fowl in parts of the City remote from thickly, settled districts or in parts used for agricultural purposes.  No such animal shall be kept in any enclosure within 100 feet of any occupied dwelling house of the City.  (Ord. 72-6426.    (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
