1311.11  CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
   (a)   A certificate of occupancy permit shall be issued for dwelling units as required in subsection (b) hereof by the office of the Building Inspector after endorsement by the Director of Administration or his designee.
   (b)   No dwelling unit shall be occupied by any person other than the owner thereof without a certificate of occupancy permit certifying that the dwelling meets the provisions of this section, the Building Code, and the Zoning Ordinance and any amendments thereto.  A permit fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be paid for each dwelling unit.
   (c)   A certificate of occupancy permit shall expire three (3) years from the date of issuance and is not transferrable.  It shall be the responsibility of the owner to secure the permits, renew them after three years or upon a change of occupancy whichever occurs first.
   (d)   The Water Department of the City of Campbell shall not accept applications for service for other than owner occupied dwelling units within the corporation limits unless the Certificate of Occupancy Permit number is included on the application.  In the event the building is under construction or being repaired, the Building Permit number may be substituted, provided that the building inspection office is notified.  (Ord. 80-7447.  Passed 6-18-80.)
