Every elected offcer of the City shall, before entering upon his duties, take and subscribe to the following oath or affrmation to be filed and kept in the office of the Clerk of Council.
"I solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Ohio and will obey the laws thereof and that I will, in all respects, observe the provisions of the Charter and ordinances of this City, and will faithfully discharge the duties of................, upon which I am about to enter."
