721.02  LICENSE FEES; EXCEPTIONS.
   (a)   Each of the following license fees shall be paid to the Mayor where applicable at the time of application:
      (1)    For-any amusement house, haunted house, or fun house ten dollars ($10.00) per day or fifty dollars ($50.00) per week.
      (2)    For any circus, show, menagerie, or combination thereof fifty dollars ($50.00) per day.
      (3)    For all other unspecified exhibitions of any kind whatsoever licensed under this chapter: fifty dollars ($50.00) per day.
      (4)    The owner, lessee, or manager of any academy of music, public hall, or building used for any theatrical exhibition (live show) or other amusement or performance shall obtain an annual license from the License Clerk which shall expire on September 30th of each year. The fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year or any part of a year.
      (5)    The owner, lessee, or manager of any building used for a motion picture show shall obtain an annual license from the Clerk which shall expire on September 30th of each year. The fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year or any part of a year.
   (b)    No license shall be issued to permit any circus, show, menagerie, or combination thereof to operate within the city of more than fourteen days in any calendar year, for the same sponsor.
   (c)    No license shall be required for entertainments given by any public or private school, lectures on historical, literary, or scientific subjects or concerts, fairs, or exhibitions of paintings or statuary given or made by residents of the City for benevolent, religious, or charitable purposes.
   (d)    The fees paid at the time of application under this section shall not be refundable for any reason.  (Ord. 92-8630.  Passed 12-16-92.)
