§ 172.08 CONNECTIONS TO PRIVATE SYSTEMS; CONNECTIONS TO PUBLIC SYSTEMS REQUIRED WHEN AVAILABLE.
   (A)   Where a public sanitary or combined sewer is not available under the provisions of § 172.03(B), the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with all requirements of the County Board of Health or the Ohio EPA, whichever shall have jurisdiction.
   (B)   At such time as a public sewer becomes available to a property served by a private sewage disposal system, a direct connection from the user (source) side of the sewage disposal system shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this subchapter, and any septic tank, cesspool or similar private sewage disposal system shall be properly abandoned, except as otherwise provided for herein.
   (C)   No person shall operate and maintain any private sewage disposal facilities in the village where public sewers are available.
