§ 150.11 MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR CEILING HEIGHT.
   (A)   Minimum height.  
      (1)   Habitable space, hallways and portions of basements containing these spaces shall have a ceiling height of not less than seven feet. Bathrooms, toilet rooms and laundry rooms shall have a ceiling height of not less than six feet, eight inches.
      (2)   Exceptions.
         (a)   For rooms with sloped ceilings, the required floor area of the room shall have a ceiling height of not less than five feet, and not less than 50% of the required floor area shall have a ceiling height of not less than seven feet.
         (b)   The ceiling height above bathroom and toilet room fixtures shall be such that the fixture is capable of being used for its intended purpose. A shower or tub equipped with a shower head shall have a ceiling height of not less than six feet, eight inches, above an area of not less than 30 inches by 30 inches at the showerhead.
         (c)   Beams, girders, ducts or other obstructions in habitable space shall be permitted to project to within six feet, four inches of the finished floor.
   (B)   Basements.  
      (1)   Portions of basements that do not contain habitable space or hallways shall have a ceiling height of not less than six feet, eight inches.
      (2)   Exception. At beams, girders, ducts or other obstructions, the ceiling height shall be not less than six feet, four inches from the finished floor.
