A permit will be required to perform work on any plumbing system, water line, sewer line or fixture; provided, however, no permit will be required to repair damaged fixtures or to do normal maintenance. Permits will only be issued to licensed contractors. Permits will be issued by the Building Official or his or her designee upon payment of all required fees, verification of a current city business license, and verification that the contractor has been duly licensed by the state. If deemed necessary by the Building Official, proposed construction drawings must be submitted and approved prior to issuing the permit.
