§ 32.06 TERMS OF OFFICE OF MEMBERS.
   The terms of office of members of all boards and commissions shall commence and end as enumerated under the respective code sections for each commission or board. Any vacant seats occurring shall be filled for the remainder of the term of office. All appointments shall be for three-year periods; however, no less than one nor more than one-half of the membership of each board and commission shall first be appointed for one-year terms, and another third for two year terms, so that the expiration date of such appointments will be staggered and not more than one-half of the members' terms will expire each year. All new or renewal appointments after the first year shall be for full three-year terms. The provisions of this section shall not apply to boards and commissions, the terms of office and appointment of the members of which is otherwise prescribed by law or this code.
