The annual salary of the Mayor, as well as that of each member of Council, shall be established by the city from time to time in accordance with S.C. Code § 5-7-170. Members of Council may also each receive payment for actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties; provided, however, actual expenses incurred for mileage within the city limits of the city shall not be recoverable.
