§ 30.02 ELECTIONS.
   Qualified electors of the city shall elect the members of Council, as well as the Mayor, from the city at large. General elections in the city shall be held on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November of each even-numbered year in which the term of office of the Mayor or the term of office of the Councilmembers may expire. The terms of office of the Mayor and Councilmembers so elected shall be for a period of four years commencing as of December l in the year in which elected and until their successors shall have been elected and qualified, the term of office of the Mayor and two Councilmembers expiring in presidential election years and the term of office of the other two Councilmembers expiring in the other even-numbered years, as required under S.C. Code § 5-15-40.
