In the event of an extreme drought related water shortage, the City Utilities Department is authorized to monitor water use and limit households to 30 cubic feet per household per day. Domestic water use above this limit will be subject to a surcharge of $25 per 100 cubic feet (or any fraction thereof). Institutional, commercial, industrial, and recreational water users will be subject to water use surcharges of $25 per 100 cubic feet (or any fraction thereof) of water used if the City Utilities Department deems that adequate conservation measures have not been implemented.
