§ 36.01 NONPARTISAN ELECTIONS.
   (A)   Nonpartisan elections. All regular and special elections for the offices of Mayor and members of Council for the city held after February 1, 1978, shall be nonpartisan elections held pursuant to applicable state statutes, with candidates nominated and results of such nonpartisan elections determined in conformity with the procedure authorized by the nonpartisan election and run-off election method prescribed in S.C. Code § 5-15-62.
   (B)   No political party affiliation shall be placed on any ballot for any candidate.
   (C)   Candidates. All candidates for Mayor and City Council shall be residents of and elected from the municipality at large.
