A. Contents Of Application: Applications for permits to excavate or tunnel in or under any street, alley, public utility easement located on private property, prescriptive or otherwise, or other public place in the city shall be made to the city clerk or the public works superintendent and shall contain the location of the intended excavation or tunnel, the size thereof, the purpose thereof, the person doing the actual excavation work and the name of the person for whom or for which work is being done.
B. Agreement To Comply: Such application shall also contain an agreement signed by the person doing the work to be bound by and comply with the provisions of this chapter.
C. Exemptions: The provisions of this chapter relative to securing permits shall not apply to officers or employees of the city engaged in doing work for the city nor to persons doing work for the city under contract. (Ord. 3-2011, 7-11-2011)
