4-5-1: DEFINITIONS:
For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions pertain:
CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS: Waste material from the construction, remodeling and repair operations on houses, commercial buildings and other structures.
COST OF SUPPRESSION: Costs incurred by the City of Cambridge, the Cambridge Fire Protection District, or by any other agency which responds to such fire.
GARBAGE: All putrescible waste such as waste from the preparation and cooking of foods, vegetables, fruits and meats, discarded noncombustible food containers such as cans, bottles, etc., and also all discarded plastics, styrofoam, etc., that produce toxic fumes, and also putrescible waste from commercial and industrial processes, manufacturing, canneries, slaughterhouses, packing plants, poultry processing plants or similar places.
RUBBISH: Abandoned appliances and furniture, concrete, bricks, plaster, earth, lumber shavings, sawdust, crates, metal, rubber, junk, etc.
TOXIC FUMES: Emissions that contain dioxins, a group of highly toxic chemicals, when burned.
TRASH: Paper, cardboard, tree branches, grass, leaves, and other nontoxic fumes producing combustible waste generated on the premises. (Ord. 6-2016, 11-14-2016)
