9-1-1: BUILDING CODES ADOPTED:
   A.   Codes Adopted: The following nationally recognized codes are hereby adopted for the city:
      1.   Building Code: The international building code, including appendix chapters E and I, and the following requirements concerning rebar reinforcement shall be added to section 1805.4.2 to said international building code:
         a.   Minimum rebar reinforcement requirements for residential and light commercial construction shall be as follows:
 
Footings:
Horizontally, will have two #4 rebars.
Vertically, will have one #4 rebar per each 48 inches and will extend into stemwall.
Stemwall:
Horizontally, will have one #4 rebar per each vertical 18 inches.
Basement Walls:
#4 rebar each 18 inches both vertically and horizontally.
 
      2.   Mechanical Code: The international mechanical code.
      3.   Life Safety Code: The life safety code published by the National Fire Protection Association.
      4.   Abatement Of Dangerous Buildings Code: The uniform code for abatement of dangerous buildings published by the International Conference Of Building Officials.
      5.   Residential Code: The international residential code, as published by the International Code Council, parts I–VI, IX–X.
      6.   Fire Code: The international fire code.
      7.   Energy Conservation Code: The international energy conservation code, as published by the International Code Council.
      8.   Electrical Code: The national electrical code.
      9.   Standards For Public Works Construction: Idaho standards for public works construction (ISPWC), together with any addenda affixed thereto.
      10.   Plumbing Code: The uniform plumbing code.
      11.   Historic Building Code: The uniform building code for conservation published by the International Conference Of Building Officials. (Ord. 4-2003, 4-14-2003)

   B.   Latest Versions Adopted: For all codes listed above, the adoption is for the latest version of each code, as that code may be amended, changed or superseded. (Ord. 5-96, 8-12-1996)
   C.   Copies On File: One copy of the codes shall be retained by the city, and the city clerk shall make the copies available during regular business hours to any person upon request.
   D.   Conflicts Repealed: Any ordinances or resolutions which are in conflict with this section are hereby repealed, but only insofar as the conflict exists. (Ord. 4-2003, 4-14-2003)
