8-2-9: SEWER SERVICE LINE REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Installation: When a permit for an individual sewer service line (side sewer) has been granted, the sewer tap at the sanitary sewer main and the sewer service line from the sanitary sewer main to a point ten feet (10') beyond the street or alley right of way line or sewer easement line shall be installed by the city at the expense of the person desiring sewer service. Thereafter, the sewer service line within the public right of way or easement shall be maintained at the expense of the property owner but shall be under the exclusive control and jurisdiction of the city.
   B.   Maintenance And Repair: All sewer users shall keep their individual sewer service lines in good repair and shall be responsible for all costs associated with maintaining the service line for all portions of the service line including the sewer tap to the sanitary sewer main.
   C.   Excavations; Permit: Excavations for installing sewer service lines or repairing the same shall be made in compliance with section 7-2-3 of this code.
   D.   Standard Specifications: Sewer service lines must be installed in accordance with the Idaho standards for public works construction (ISPWC) standards as adopted by the city. (Ord. 3-2014, 5-12-2014)
