8-1-1: WATERWORKS SYSTEM; MANDATORY CONNECTION:
   A.   Construction Of System: For the purpose of promoting health, safety and the general welfare of the city, a "water system" as described in Idaho Code section 50-1029 shall be constructed, extended, maintained, repaired, replaced, operated and removed within the corporate limits of the city by which to provide an adequate public waterworks, public water system and water supply for domestic, commercial, industrial, fire protection and other municipal purposes and uses.
   B.   Connection To System Required: Every residence or place of business within the corporate limits of the city shall be separately and independently connected by a separate water service line to a public water line or main where such water line or main adjoins the lot, tract or parcel of land on which such building or structure stands.
   C.   New Building Construction; Plans To Show Water Connection: No permit shall be issued for the construction of any building or structure in the city on any lot, tract or parcel of land where there is a public water line or main adjoining such lot, tract or parcel of land, unless the plans and specifications show connections to said water system in compliance with this code and with any rules or regulations adopted pursuant to this code.
   D.   Compliance With City Requirements: All such connections to the city public water system shall be properly designed and constructed in conformity with ordinances and resolutions adopted by the city.
   E.   Right To Revoke: Permission given to connect to the public water system shall be upon the express condition that the city may for good cause revoke the same and the person making such connection, or his successor in interest, shall have no right to claim any damage in consequence of such permission being revoked.
