(A) There is hereby created the Office of Superintendent of Public Works, who shall be appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of the Board of Trustees.
(B) The Superintendent of Public Works shall be in charge of the Public Works Department and shall have charge of and custody of all physical properties of the village, other than records, not assigned to some other office or employee and subject to the supervision of the Village Engineer, he or she shall have charge of the operation, maintenance and repair of the water distribution system, the sewer system and such other duties as are evolved upon him or her by the Public Works Department.
(C) The duties of the Superintendent of Public Works shall be as set forth in this section and as may be amended from time to time by the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Calumet Park.
(D) The salary or compensation of the Superintendent of Public Works shall be fixed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
