§ 32.03  DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Department of Public Works, an executive department of the Village of Calumet Park. It shall consist of the Superintendent of Public Works, who shall be the head of the Department and all officers and employees assigned thereto. All the officers and employees shall perform their duties subject to the supervision of the Superintendent.
   (B)   The Department of Public Works shall be in charge of and shall have supervision of the care, maintenance and construction and repair of all streets, sidewalks, alleys and public ways, the construction, operation, maintenance and repairs of all storm sewers, sanitary sewers and all street gutters and drains and appurtenances thereto and shall have complete charge of the maintenance, repair, operation and installation of the water distribution system of the village. The Department shall also have charge of the street lighting system and shall be responsible for the repair, maintenance and extension thereof.
   (C)   All physical properties of the village, including water distribution, parks, playgrounds and all municipal utilities, including the Village Hall and all municipal utilities not assigned to some other department or office shall be and are hereby assigned to the Department of Public Works.
   (D)   The Superintendent of Public Works shall be custodian of all tools, equipment and other personal property belonging to the village and not assigned to the care of the village or any other public office.
