(A) If the Building Inspector shall find that any sign is unsafe, insecure or a menace to the public, or has been constructed, erected or maintained in violation of the provisions of this section, he or she shall give written notice to the permittee thereof.
(B) If the permittee fails to remove or alter the structure so as to comply with the standards herein set forth within ten days after the notice, then the Mayor and Board of Trustees, on the recommendation of the Building Inspector, may declare the sign to be a public nuisance and direct the removal of the sign as required by law.
