Chapter 30 of the Minnesota Basic Code, regarding Administration - General Provisions, shall be amended to add a new section as follows:
(A) Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.591, Subd. 2, the office of clerk and treasurer in the City of Callaway, are hereby combined into the office of Clerk-Treasurer. (Wherever City Clerk appears in the Minnesota Basic Code, it shall be read to mean City Clerk-Treasurer.)
(B) Beginning in 2002, and each year thereafter, there shall be an audit of the city’s financial affairs by the State Auditor or a Public Accountant in accordance with minimum auditing procedures prescribed by the State Auditor.
