§ 112.04 OWNER MUST SHOW PROOF OF INSURANCE; FILING PROOF.
   (A)   Any owner, before any license is issued for the operation of a taxicab, must file with the Town Council an insurance policy covering the operation of each vehicle in some indemnity or casualty company authorized to write the insurance and doing business in the state in the amount of $10,000, covering injuries to a single person, with $50,000 total coverage and $5,000 property damage at Council discretion.
   (B)   A certified copy of the policy shall meet this requirement, and the policy shall be for a period of not less than one year, and shall contain the provision that the same shall not be canceled by the insurer until after five-days’ written notice of the intention to cancel is given to the Town Clerk/Treasurer.
   (C)   No taxicab shall be operated on the streets of the town without the insurance.
