§ 70.02 JURISDICTION OF MUNICIPAL COURT FOR TRAFFIC.
   The Municipal Court of the town may try and determine criminal cases involving violations of the provisions of this chapter or provisions of S.C. Code Ch. 56-5 occurring within the limits of the town when the penalty prescribed by state law for the violations does not exceed 30 days imprisonment and/or $500 fine. The Municipal Court may have trial jurisdiction over the criminal cases the same as magistrates.
