If the owner or occupant of a dangerous building fails, refuses or neglects to remedy a dangerous condition as required by this chapter, then the Village Building Inspection Board may cause the same to be done at the expense of the owner.
In addition to all other remedies for collecting the costs and expenses of remedying the dangerous condition by the Village Inspection Board, the costs and expenses may be levied as a special assessment tax against the property, whether the work is done at the time the assessment is levied or later.
