09-07-14: FAILURE TO PAY PARKING VIOLATION:

Except as more specifically provided for parking in the downtown district pursuant to Section 09-07-12, if a person fails to pay a parking violation, within the time frame specified on the ticket, a late fee in the amount established by resolution of the City Council may be added to such ticket. Said failure to pay may also result in:

   (1)   Authorizing a collection agency to use all possible legal means to satisfy this outstanding parking ticket(s). If an outstanding parking ticket(s) is referred to collection, the vehicle owner will be subject to additional collection fees established by the collection agency; or

   The issuance of a summons. The fine and court costs for summons will be as set by the applicable Idaho infraction rules, as amended. Failure to appear on the summons could result in the suspension of a person's driver's license as provided by Idaho Code.

The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to determine the location of passenger and freight curb loading zones and shall place and maintain appropriate signs indicating the same and stating the hours during which the provisions of this article are applicable. (1962 Code, Section 11-9-15)
