§ 71.40 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CHIEF OF POLICE. The Chief of Police of the City of Cadiz, Kentucky.
   PARADE. Any parade, march, ceremony, show, exhibition, pageant or procession of any kind, or any similar display, consisting of persons, animals or vehicles or a combination thereof, in or upon any street, sidewalk, park or other public place in the city with an intent of attracting public attention that interferes with the normal flow or regulation of traffic upon the streets, parks or other public grounds.
   PARADE PERMIT or SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT. A permit required by this subchapter.
   SPECIAL EVENT. Any activity which occurs upon private or public property that will affect the ordinary use of the public property, public streets, rights-of-way or sidewalks. This includes, but is not limited to fairs, festivals, foot runs, bicycle runs and block parties. Private social gatherings which will not require the use of city streets other than for lawful parking are not included.
