§ 150.01 ADOPTION OF KENTUCKY BUILDING CODE AND STANDARDS OF SAFETY; ENFORCEMENT AGENTS.
   (A)   Adoption. The Kentucky Building Code, promulgated in Chapter 7, Section 120, Title 815 of the Kentucky Administrative Regulations and the Kentucky Residential Code promulgated in Chapter 7, Section 125, Title 815 of the Kentucky Administrative Regulations by the Board of Housing, Buildings and construction, Commonwealth of Kentucky, are hereby adopted as if fully set out herein. A copy of said Kentucky Building Code is on file in the office of the Cadiz City Clerk, and the City Clerk shall at all times keep a copy of the Building Code for reference. An attested copy of this section shall be transmitted to the Office of Housing, Buildings and Construction of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
   (B)   Designated enforcement officer. The Building Inspector shall be designated as the local enforcement agent for said Kentucky Building Code. All Building Code inspections shall be performed by persons certified by the Kentucky Office of Housing, Buildings and Construction. All electrical inspections shall be performed by a state certified electrical inspector specifically approved by this jurisdiction.
   (C)   Building inspection program. Pursuant to KRS 198B.060(8), a building inspection program is hereby established within the city for application to all buildings except single-family residential buildings.
   (D)   Permits and fees. The Fire Code Inspector as appointed by the city and all other designated officers, agents, and employees of the city are hereby charged with the enforcement of the provisions of the Standards of Safety.
      (1)   The city shall collect a fee of $15 for each annual inspection made by the Fire Code Inspector pursuant to Ord. 742.
      (2)   All final decisions of the fire code official of the city shall be appealable to a local appeals board pursuant to the procedures adopted by the City Council.
