1309.02 NOTICE TO CUT WEEDS, GRASS, BRUSH AND/OR REMOVE LITTER.
   When such brush and/or litter are found to be on a property within the Village, the Village Administrator or Mayor may cause certificate of mail notice to be served on the owner, lessee, agent, mortgage holder, tenant and/or other person having charge of such land at his last known address or at the address utilized by the Harrison County Auditor used for real estate tax notification, notifying him that such high grass, weeds, brush must be cut and/or litter must be removed within fourteen (14) days after receipt of such notice. In the event that the certified mail notice is returned undelivered, then notice may be given by publication once in a newspaper of general circulation or posted on the subject property. In the instance of unoccupied property or vacant land the Village, in lieu of a mailed notice, may post the property by affixing a notice to the building or in the instance of vacant land a notice may be affixed to a stake, tree or fence. This notice shall contain the date of posting and the location of the property. Such high grass, weeds, brush must be cut and/or litter must be removed within fourteen (14) days after receipt of such notice. In the event that the certificate of mail notice is return undelivered, then notice may be given by publication once in a newspaper of general circulation or posted on the subject property.
