551.09  TREES WHICH CAUSE DAMAGE.
   No person shall set out, plant or transplant any tree which, due to its rooting characteristics, causes damage to streets, curbs, sidewalks, sewers, utilities and appurtenances within any public street, alley or highway, especially, but not limited to, that portion of the street, alley or highway in the area between the street and the edge of the sidewalk commonly known as the curb lawn.  Any such tree is hereby declared to be a nuisance and may be abated by the Village.  (Ord. 549.  Passed 9-17-63.)
