353.05  UNLAWFUL PARKING.
   (a)   No person shall cause, allow or permit any vehicle which is registered in his name or operated or controlled by him to be upon any street within a parking meter zone in any space adjacent to which a parking meter is installed, during the times provided in subsection (b) of this section when the meter is showing a signal indicating that such space is illegally in use, other than such time as is necessary to operate the meter to show legal parking.

   (b)   Meters shall be used on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  On Fridays and Saturdays meters shall be used between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.  Meters do not have to be used on Sundays and the following holidays:
      (1)   New Year’s Day;
      (2)   Memorial Day;
      (3)   Fourth of July;
      (4)   Labor Day;
      (5)   Thanksgiving Day;
      (6)   Christmas Day.
