141.09  ALARM DROPS AND FIRE RUNS.
   (a)   Banks and similar financial institutions, factories and manufacturing establishments, business offices, professional offices, and residences shall be provided one free alarm drop per calendar month.  Anyone installing a new alarm drop line will not be charged any fee for alarm drops during the first calendar month following the date of installation.  Charges will commence upon the first day of the calendar month immediately following the first full calendar month after the date of installation.
   (b)   The charge payable to the Village for a second alarm drop in a calendar month shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00).  The fee for a third alarm drop in a calendar month shall be fifty dollars ($50.00).  The fee for a fourth and succeeding alarm drops in a calendar month shall increase twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per alarm drop.  There will be no charge for alarm drops resulting from weather conditions, criminal activities or fires.  In the event that weather conditions are alleged to be the cause of the alarm drop, the decision of the Village Fire Department shall be final as to payment of an alarm drop charge.  An alarm drop fee will be charged in all instances justifying a charge once responding units have been dispatched.
   (c)   The Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department shall provide charges described herein to the Fiscal Officer.  The Fiscal Officer shall then process an invoice for collection.  All charges received shall be deposited into the General Fund of the Village of Byesville.
