The Chief of Police and all patrolmen shall be appointed for a probationary period of six months full-time continuous service, and no such appointment shall be considered permanent until the Chief of Police or patrolman has satisfactorily served a probationary period as described herein and pursuant to the requirements of Ohio Revised Code 737.17.
