945.32  SEWER SYSTEM EXTENSION INSIDE THE VILLAGE LIMITS.
   (a)   The Village sewer system may be extended inside the corporation limits of the Village upon written approval of the Wastewater Superintendent and the Village Administrator.  Any person(s), firm or corporation approved by the Village Administrator shall be allowed to install a sewer tap pursuant to Village specifications.  The entire cost of the extension shall be born solely by the person(s), firm or corporation making the extension.  Tap fees will be waived when taps are made at the time of the extension.  Line extensions and taps shall be made according to the current Standard Detail Drawings of the Village Sewer line sizing will be determined by the Superintendent and the Village Administrator.
   (b)   Persons wishing to tap on to an extended line, following the completion of the extension, will be required to pay for half of the original cost of the line that fronts the property where said tap is being installed, as well as the cost of the tap.  This cost can be calculated using the following calculation:
(Original Cost of Line Extension/Total Footage * Property
Frontage/0.5) + Current Tap Fee = Cost to be paid by
person(s) tapping into an extended line.
   (c)   This cost will be collected for a period of ten years following any line extension paid for by a third party in which the Village has in writing assumed responsibility and upkeep of said sewer line following the one-year maintenance agreement.  This fee minus half of the current tap cost will be returned to the original developer(s) up to and including the original cost of making the line extension(s).
   (d)   Approved Ohio Environmental Protection Agency plans must be obtained prior to the installation of said sewer line.  The Village requires three sets of Ohio Environmental Protection Agency approved plans be delivered to the Superintendent prior to the installation of said sewer line, as well as three sets of as-built plans following completion of said sewer line installation.
