(a) The inside the corporation limit water rate shall be $4.70 per 1000 gallons of usage, the equivalent of .0047 per gallon.
(b) Consumer accounts using less than 3000 gallons per month shall be charged a
minimum of $14.10 monthly.
(c) Consumer accounts located outside the corporation limits will incur the inside rate plus an additional fifty percent (50%), except where other intergovernmental agreements exist.
(d) Rates for industrial and commercial users conducting operations outside the Village corporation limit that average over 1,000,000 gallons monthly shall be calculated using the inside rate plus 15%.
(e) Effective January 1, 2019 and reoccurring through January 1, 2023, the inside rate shall increase 1% annually.
(f) Water tap fees be amended as follows:
(1) 3/4" Service $900.00
(2) 1" Service $1,300.00
(3) 2" Service $1,400.00
(4) All taps over two inches will be charged at a rate of one $1,200.00 per inch plus materials and meter.
(5) Tap on fees will include materials, a meter, and the necessary labor to install service to the meter pit. Costs associated with street openings and road boring will be additional.
(6) Outside the corporation tap fees shall be incurred at a rate of the inside tap fee plus 50%.
(7) All tap fees must be paid prior to installation.
(8) It is the property owner's responsibility to maintain the location of an existing tap.
(g) The foregoing charges are minimum charges and not maximum charges and the Village Administrator reserves the right and is obligated to increase the same at any time should the revenues of the water works system prove insufficient to pay present and future operations and bonding indebtedness.
(h) A twenty-five dollar ($25.00) service charge each shut-off performed and each turn-on performed due to non-payment of billing or request for shut-off. All other services will be charged for any services performed other than normal duty hours. The normal duty hours shall be established by the Village Administrator.
(i) A $50.00 service charge will be charged for any service performed anytime other than normal business yours. The normal business hours shall be established by the Village Administrator.
(j) A water guarantee deposit of $100.00 shall be charged for the following:
(1) New property owners who have not had water service established within the Village.
(2) All tenants/renters whether water service has been established or not.
(k) The water guarantee deposit is a non-interest bearing deposit. Property owners' deposits shall be credited against current billing after 12 months or six consecutive billing cycles if all bills are paid by the due date. Tenants/renters/land contractors' deposits shall be held/applied to the final billing. No final bill refunds of less than $1.00 shall be refunded.
