1501.01 ADOPTION.
   (a)    Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by the Municipality, the Ohio Fire Code (OFC) as adopted by the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, Department of Commerce, effective July 1, 1979, and as published in Division 1301:7 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
   (b)    A certain document, one copy of which is on file in the office of the Village Clerk, being marked and designated as "The BOCA Basic Fire Prevention Code, Fifth Edition, 1981", as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., is hereby adopted for the Village; for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of such BOCA Basic Fire Prevention Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part thereof, as if fully set out in this chapter with the additions, deletions or changes, if any, prescribed in subsection (b)(1) hereof and in existing ordinances of the Village not repealed herein or inconsistent herewith.
      (1)    Additions, insertions and changes. Section F-100 (page 1, second line). Insert: Burton Village.
      (2)    Savings clause. That nothing in this chapter or in the Fire Prevention Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinances hereby repealed; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this section.
      (3)    Revisions, amendments, supplements, etc. All revisions, amendments, and supplements, including new editions prepared within the normal three year cycle for the BOCA Basic Fire Prevention Code are hereby adopted and incorporated herein. Such revisions, amendments, etc. shall take effect as of the date they are incorporated into the BOCA Basic Fire Prevention Code. (Ord. 1276-83. Passed 4-18-83.)
