The Zoning Inspector or the Chief of Police may at any time, for sufficient cause, revoke or suspend any permit granted under this chapter. Any person excepting to any denials, suspensions or revocations of a permit applied for or held by him pursuant to any of the provisions of this chapter, or to any other action taken by any official of the Village concerning such permit, may appeal in writing to Council by filing with the Clerk-Treasurer written notice of such appeal, setting forth the specific grounds thereof.
Such notice must be filed within fourteen days after notice of the action appealed from is received by the appellant, but in no event later than thirty days after the date of such action. The Clerk-Treasurer shall set the matter for hearing before Council at the next Council meeting and cause notice thereof to be given to the appellant not less than five days prior thereto. At such hearing the appellant must show cause, on the grounds specified in the notice of appeal, why the action excepted to should not be approved. Council may continue such hearing from time to time, and its findings on the appeal shall be final and conclusive in the matter.
