Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing standards for electrical materials and installations in all dwellings, buildings and structures, that certain code known as the National Electrical Code, being particularly the 1978 edition thereof recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, and designated as NFPA No. 70-1978, ANSI C1-1978, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended.
