§ 2-211 DOGS TO BE LICENSED.
All dogs are required to be licensed with the city within one month after a person moves to the city or after acquiring a dog. People are allowed not more that six dogs. The city ordinance states that any dog outside must be confined in a fenced enclosure or animal shelter unless under the control of a person, either by lead, cord, leash or chain. If the dog is over six months of age the owner needs to have a current dog license, which he or she may get at the City Building. The owner will need a current proof of rabies vaccination to get a tag.
