§ 1-208 VACANCIES IN GOVERNING BODY; HOW FILLED.

Whenever a vacancy occurs in the governing body for whatever reason, the vacancy shall be filled by the remaining members of the governing body. Any person appointed to fill such vacancy shall only serve until the seat is filled by the electoral process.
