§ 90.40 ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS; RIGHT OF ENTRY.
   (A)   Any animal control officer appointed by the Chief of Police shall be defined as an agent of the city, or as an enforcing officer, both of which shall have power under this chapter. The Chief of Police may choose himself or herself when filling this post.

   (B)   When in immediate pursuit of any dog found to be at large in the city, a city police officer, or other person designated by the governing body to apprehend offending dogs, may enter upon the premises of the owner of such offending dog for the purpose of apprehending such dog; provided that, for purposes of this section, the word premises shall not be construed to include the inside of any dwelling or any other building.
