(A) (1) Except when directed to proceed by a police officer or traffic control signal, every driver of a vehicle approaching a stop intersection indicated by a stop sign shall come to a full stop at a clearly marked stop line; but:
(a) If none, before entering the crosswalk on the near-side of the intersection;
(b) If none, then at the point nearest the intersection; or
(c) If none, then at the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering the intersection.
(2) After having stopped, the driver shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which has entered or is approaching the intersection from another highway and shall not proceed into the intersection until certain that such intersecting roadway is free from oncoming traffic which may effect safe passage.

(B) No vehicle shall be moved backward for a greater distance on any street or alley than is necessary to turn or move away from the curb, and ample warning shall be given to avoid injury to other traffic.

(C) It shall be unlawful to back a vehicle around a corner at an intersection. No vehicle shall be backed without ample warning first being given.
