(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any vehicle upon or over any sidewalk in the city, other than at a public or private crossing.

(B) (1) No person shall drive any vehicle across any sidewalk, except where a driveway is provided, and no person driving any vehicle across any sidewalk to or from any lot, building, alley, or roadway shall drive or operate the same at a greater rate of speed than ten mph.
(2) No motor vehicle shall be driven out of any building across any sidewalk, unless the person driving the same shall first sound his or her horn, bell, or other proper sound apparatus as a warning to any pedestrian who may be on the sidewalk.
