(A) A building sewer shall be constructed of caste iron soil pipe, ASTM specifications A74-42, or equal; vitrified clay sewer pipes, ASTM specifications C13-44T, or equal; or other suitable material approved by the Superintendent. Joints shall be tight and waterproof.
(B) If installed in filled or unstable ground, a building sewer shall be constructed of caste iron soil pipe, except that non-metallic material may be accepted if laid on a suitable concrete bed or cradle approved by the Superintendent.
