§ 32.01 ESTABLISHMENT AND AUTHORITY.
   (A)   (1)   The Mayor, City Finance Officer, and a reputable physician to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council, shall constitute the Board of Health of the city; the Mayor shall be the President, the City Finance Officer shall be the Clerk, and the physician, so appointed, shall be the Superintendent of the city’s Board of Health.
      (2)   The President and Clerk of the Board of Health shall serve without additional compensation, and the Superintendent shall receive, for his or her services, the usual charge of like services performed by the Superintendent of the county’s Board of Health.

   (B)   The city’s Board of Health shall have power to establish such sanitary regulations as will, in its judgment, prevent the spread of disease, to establish pest houses or temporary hospitals, and to provide for the removal of persons afflicted with contagious or infectious diseases to such pest houses or temporary hospitals.
