For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BASIC CABLE SERVICE. The service tier which includes the retransmission of local broadcast signals.
CABLE TELEVISION RECEPTION. The delivery by the grantee to television receivers or any other suitable type of electronic terminal or receiver of the electronic signals and other communications services carried over said system.
CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM. A system utilizing certain electronics and other components which deliver to subscribing members of the public various communications services.
FCC. The Federal Communications Commission.
GRANTEE. Anyone who is employed as the cable television company for the city.
PERSON. Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, or organization of any kind and any other legally recognized entity.
SUBSCRIBERS. Persons contracting to receive cable television reception services furnished under this chapter by the grantee.
