§ 37.02 AUTHORITY DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES.
   (A)   In addition to any express authority provided in this code, the City Manager and/or Police Chief, Fire Chief, or Director of Community Planning may designate employees to issue citations.
   (B)   A person designated under this section must:
      (1)   Be an employee of the city; and
      (2)   Successfully complete a training program approved by the City Manager and/or Police Chief, Fire Chief, or Director of Community Development.
   (C)   A person designated under this section:
      (1)   Is not a peace officer; and
      (2)   Is not authorized to arrest an individual for a violation of a city ordinance.
