§ 31.01 TOWN CLERK-TREASURER.
   (A)   The Town Clerk-Treasurer is an elected official who serves as the fiscal officer of the town. The office is tasked with the responsibility to receive and distribute monies on the order of the Town Council, keep financial accounts and provide financial statements to the Town Council, maintaining custody of records, books and papers of the Town Council, attend all meetings of the Council and record the proceedings of them, issue licenses, administer oaths and take depositions, under certain circumstances, break tie votes of the Town Council and maintain custody of the town seal.
   (B)   He or she shall arrange a roll call of members and perform all duties as set forth in I.C. 36-4-6-9. The agenda of the Council shall be made provided to the Council members at least 48 hours prior to the meeting in order for them to be prepared for the meeting.
   (C)   The Town Clerk-Treasurer will be responsible for utilizing a roll call and recording the “ayes” and “nays” of respective members for all voting. This will be recorded in the minutes.
