As an adjunct of the Fire Department the Emergency Squad is equipped with a special emergency vehicle, which is supplied with a resuscitator and related first aid equipment and supplies, and staffed with qualified, trained Fire Department personnel to answer emergency calls and to minister to emergency physical needs of area citizens in distress on a twenty-four hour seven day a week basis, save and except when such special duties shall conflict with their fire-fighting duties which shall always remain their first priority as Fire Department members.
