Standing Committee and Commission assignments shall be made by the President of Council and shall be approved by a majority of Councilpersons elected. Such appointments shall be for a term of two years and shall be made at the beginning of each term of Council. Committee and Commission vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments, and the appointees shall serve the remainder of the Council term.
